\n
\nStep 2: Gather and Analyze Information
\n-lightning has a purpose, which is to fix nitrogen for plants to use, supporting life
\n-rain specifically supports life; it gives water for organisms to use
\n-tornadoes and hurricanes sometimes help transfer heat and energy away from the equator
\n-thunderstorms release tons of energy from the atmosphere, along with other tropical storms like hurricanes
\n-thunderstorms keep Earth electrically balanced, and help transfer negative energy back to Earth
\n-blizzards blow snow around in tundra areas, and can cause environmental changes
\n-floods circulate the water throughout Earth
\n-tornadoes and other severe storms are a great way for the atmosphere to release its energy
\n-monsoons are used to balance out the ecosystem with moiture (the monsoon is the system of rainy and dry seasons often found near Africa, India, and Australia
\n-flash floods are a good way to spread out water, along with normal floods, along the Earth after heavy rainfall and blockage in a single area
\n-large hail may signal storms such as tornadoes, therefore giving a purpose, being a warning, and also the foretelling of an oncoming tornado, a good atmospheric energy releaser
\n-fire, caused by types of weather or conditions such as a dry place with a thunderstorm, has a purpose; it can help recycle parts of nature and make them more fertile. For example: a fire burns parts of a forest. The seeds of the trees are spread out from the heat of the fire and planted in somewhat favorable and open spots. The surviving trees can use the ashes of the other trees for nutrients, because the ashes make the soil nearby very fertile. The newly spread seeds and growing trees can use this nutrients, too. Surprisingly, fire can do a few good things for nature
\n-volcanic eruptions can help do the same things of that as a fire, and they can help release energy from the underground mantle and crust that surge with pressure and energy
\n-wind helps spread heat and pressure\/energy throughout Earth","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"44038578","body":"wesley did a lot of that, thanks wes!","dateCreated":"1318354796","smartDate":"Oct 11, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"harrisir","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/harrisir","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}}],"more":0}]},{"id":"43970808","dateCreated":"1318269992","smartDate":"Oct 10, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"harrisir","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/harrisir","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/lionscienceproject.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43970808"},"dateDigested":1532653479,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Start planning for video?","description":"Should we start planning now for our video?","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"42977284","dateCreated":"1316714989","smartDate":"Sep 22, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"WesleyCollier","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/WesleyCollier","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/lionscienceproject.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/42977284"},"dateDigested":1532653479,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Team #18","description":"I a lot of useful info. on thunderstorm's purposes on the National Severe Storm Labratory.
